Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

My Prayer Connect collects the information you provide when you create an account, including your email address, display name, and any prayer requests or group details you enter. If you choose to enable text reminders, you may also provide a mobile phone number. We also collect technical data such as browser type and IP address to keep the service secure and reliable.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to operate the app, authenticate you, deliver your daily prayer list, send group-related notifications (such as when you are added to a group), and improve the service. If you verify a mobile number and opt in, we may send you text reminders for your group meetings. We do not sell your personal data or use it for advertising.

3. Sharing and visibility

Prayer requests are shared only according to the visibility you choose: with the whole group, with group leaders only, or kept private to you. Group membership and display names are visible to other members of the same group. Leaders can see the activation code for groups they lead.

4. Data storage and security

Your data is stored in secure cloud infrastructure. We use encryption in transit and access controls to protect your information. While we take reasonable steps to safeguard data, no online service can guarantee absolute security.

5. Your choices

You can update your display name, delete prayer requests, leave groups, and close your account at any time. If you need help removing your data, contact us at the email address below.

6. SMS reminders and your phone number

Text reminders are optional and only sent when you verify a mobile number and turn the reminder setting on. We store your phone number in E.164 format and show only the last four digits back to you. Group leaders cannot see your number; other members cannot see it. We use your number only for the meeting reminders you asked for, and we do not share it with group leaders, other members, or third parties beyond the messaging provider that delivers the text.

Message frequency depends on how many group meetings trigger a reminder. Standard carrier message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any reminder text to opt out; reply START, YES, or UNSTOP to restart. You can also turn off text reminders or remove your number entirely from your Account page.

7. Calendar subscription links

The personal calendar subscription is off by default. If you turn it on from your Account page, we generate a private, randomly generated link that returns a calendar feed of the meetings for the groups you belong to. That feed includes group names, meeting dates and times, durations, locations, and any meeting notes a leader added. It never includes prayer requests.

The link is unguessable but is not password protected, so anyone you share it with can see the same meeting details. Only share it with calendar apps you trust. You can reset the link to invalidate the old one, or turn the subscription off at any time, which immediately stops the link from working. When you use a third-party calendar app, that provider retrieves the feed on its own schedule and handles the data under its own privacy policy.

8. Children

My Prayer Connect is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy here with a new effective date. Continued use of My Prayer Connect means you accept the updated policy.
